JAUME Font, the Balearic environment minister, and Cristina Narbona, the central minister, signed an agreement in Madrid yesterday, under which both departments will spend 34 million euros on hydraulic projects. These projects include carrying water from the S'Extremera wells to Consell, and repairing irrigation channels in the Albufera.
Plans have still to be drawn up, which will take six to seven months, and work is expected to start before the end of the year, Font said.
