EMAYA, Palma's municipal rubbish collection and water company, awarded two vehicles to the Green patrol of the Local Police yesterday.
The grant follows the signing of a collaboration agreement between the head of Emaya, and the councillor for Civic Safety and Local Police.
The aim was to enable the force to have better facilities to carry out their work, ensuring that members of the public abide by the law in not letting their domestic animals foul the city streets. There are now official doggy parks for such purposes open to pets supervised by their owners.
