Palma.—After a week of glorious weather with temperatures breaching 20ºC over the weekend luring some people to the beach, conditions are going to change from today.

The weather office issued a statement yesterday warning that a mass of cold air from Scandinavia will begin moving across the country today bringing heavy rain, gale force winds, snow and temperatures much lower than the ones we have been enjoying for the past week.

Met. office sources said that, on average, temperatures, will fall by between four and five degrees centigrade but the cold strong winds will add to the chill factor. Conditions will improve from Friday.
