Driver held after Palma car chase

A 23-year-old driver was arrested in the early hours of yesterday morning after colliding with four other vehicles along the Paseo Mallorca and then attempting to flee the scene.

However, a quick thinking hotel receptionist witnessed the incidents, took down the vehicle's registration number and rapidly informed the police.
Local Police patrols chased the culprit all the way back to his house in the city where he was arrested and was apparently found to be five times over the permitted drink-drive limit.

According to the police, the driver appears to have lost control of the vehicle and hit three parked cars before bouncing off and colliding with another.
