Palma—The President of the Balearics, Jose Ramon Bauza, said that he had full faith in the judiciary after the Guardia Civil raided the offices of the council in Calvia on Saturday over alleged irregularities in the way the contract was awarded for the Calvia radio station. The alleged wrongdoing took place while the present minister for tourism, Carlos Delgado, was Mayor.

Bauza said that he had “no decision to take” and said that it was a “legal matter.” Police said that they had brought forward their search of the council over fears that key documentation could have been destroyed. A number of documents were removed by police during their search on Saturday.
