Palma.—The Balearic Minister for Agriculture, Biel Company, yesterday met representative from the Federation of Majorcan Hotels and tour operators to present a new website aimed at promoting green tourism. www.balearsnatura.com, which is on line in four different languages including English, has been created to promote the region's natural parks to both residents and holiday makers.

Company said that nature and green tourism is a rapidly growing market and he hopes that the website will not only be able to provide visitors and residents with more information and help to promote green tourism but also act as a link between the tourist industry and the island's various nature reserves and green tour operators.

The website features all of the Balearics' main nature reserves and an album of some 600 photographs as well as a list of over 70 walks.
The website also includes information about some of the region's stately homes such as Son Real and natural attractions such as las Fonts Ufanes and the Torrent de Pareis.
