THE Womens Lobby yesterday held the ninth edition of their demonstration against domestic violence with the aim of making people aware of the problem and the necessity to maintain “the social will to erradicate it”. The demonstration, which this year was made using the train for the first time, passed through the towns of Petra and Lloseta, where the committee read a statement about this problem and were received by the respective town councils. The participants, who gathered in the Plaza de España in Palma at 9.30am to get the train to Petra and from there to Lloseta, lunched together once they had finished their journey, aiming to help erradicate domestic violence.
