THE opposition Partido Popular on Palma City Council yesterday announced plans to table a motion at the next plenary meeting that the council opens a public debate over the proposed future tram project.
The PP is particularly concerned that the mayor, Aina Calvo, manages to win maximum consensus and support of all those residents and businesses which are going to be directly affected by the construction of the Bay of Palma tram. The PP is complaining that not enough information has been made public about the project, the first phase of which will be the tram link between Plaza d'España public transport hub and the airport.
