RESIDENTS in Andratx are becoming increasingly concerned about what they fear is becoming a new accident black spot in the area.
Yesterday, two vehicles were involved in a collision in nearly the same spot where a person was run down and killed a week ago along the road between Andratx and the port. Fortunately, neither of the two drivers, one English and the other German, involved in yesterday's accident were seriously injured although the two vehicles involved were both damaged. The exact cause of the accident remains to be confirmed by the traffic police but the two vehicles were travelling in opposite directions at the time of the accident at mid-day. The accident caused substantial traffic jams as yesterday was market day - and the Local Police had to contain the situation until the Guardia Civil arrived.
