Pollensa.—When Geoff Thomas decided to retire as Church Warden of the Anglican Congregation of St Andrews in Puerto Pollensa, the Church decided to make a presentation.

On Sunday, during the Communion Service, Church Warden, Mary Payne presented Geoff with a cross and chain.
The congregation had managed to keep the secret of the presentation, and Geoff had no idea that it was going to happen! Geoff has been Church Warden at St. Andrews for 14 years.
He has worked with four Anglican Chaplains in that time in the Port. Speaking after the presentation Geoff said, “It is time to go. Our Church now has a ‘vibrant and young committee'. Our larger electoral role means that we can have a larger committee with more jobs to be done. “Our Church is in a sound position both spiritually and financially. “I have been a member of the congregation from the start, and I want to thank the congregation and the Church Committee for their support and their kindness.” Mike Webster, who was Church Treasurer, will take over from Geoff as Church Warden . “Mike is a great person to take on the role of Church Warden”, said Geoff.
Geoff continues to play a leading role in the Puerto Pollensa community, as the owner of “The Codfather” fish and chip shop.
He continues his love of Liverpool football club, and the Church has not let him go completely as he has become Church Warden Emeritus.
