Tribute paid to air rescue squadron

THE Council of Majorca and the Aeronautical Foundation paid tribute to members of the Air Rescue Service, Squadron 801, at Son Bonet yesterday.
Council president Maria Antonia Munar presented a commemorative plaque to the squadron leader, Commander Rafael Llobera, thanking the team for “their dedication in saving the lives of others.” Also present were Miquel Buades, deputy chairman of the Foundation, and Miquel Nadal, vice president of the Council of Majorca.
The presentation was followed by a demonstration of the pilots' skills.
