Hotels in Playa de Palma were this week granted permission to expand their storey building height up to a maximum of eight metres or two floors, in order to face the growing demands in the business.

The government gave the green light to 4 and 5 star hotels in the Balearics to go ahead with their development plans but only in areas considered “Mature Turistic Areas,” which at the moment means only in the Playa de Palma.
