WITHIN only 15 days, a soldier who was seriously wounded in the terrorist attack on United Nations forces in the Lebanon, will be returning to his native Majorca following special hospital treatment in Madrid.

Nineteen-year-old Juan Paz Soler suffered second and third degree burns to his arms and face but he was able, speaking to the Press through an uncle, to say how much he was looking forward to enjoying a plate of homemade sopes mallorquines (a Majorcan specialty) and to taking a stroll out along the sea front. Doctors say he is recovering well and he seems to be remarkably cheeful in spite of his injuries. He was prepared to sit for a photo call as long as his wounded companion from Madrid, Enrique Vazquez, could get in on the act. Only a week ago, a terrorist bomb put an end to the life of six of his comrades, Spanish soldiers attached to the peacekeeping force in Lebanon.
