THE first prize winner of the photography competition and a holiday in Majorca held at the Manchester discovers the Balearics' fair, has arrived on the island.
Phillip John King, who won the seven-day holiday last May, arrived in Majorca with his wife, Barbara Lynn.
I found out I had won the holiday through the internet. Just before I had been thinking about taking a few days off to relax with my wife, said Phillip, who visited the island 26 years ago.
Manchester discovers Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza, and Formentera', was a massive promotional event organised by the Balearic Regional Ministry of Tourism.
It was held on 1, 2, and 3 of May to promote the Islands within the British market, and to differentiate them from other holiday destinations.
