A THIRTY-FOUR year-old workman was injured yesterday when he fell from the scaffolding on which he was working in calle Martí Costa in Palma.
The accident happened at about 1.15pm when the victim was working on the frontage of a building at second storey height, some four metres off the ground.
The workman suffered head and shoulder injuries, but emergency services confirmed that none were serious enough to be life-threatening.
After receiving initial first aid, the workman was taken to a Mutua Balear clinic.
The office of the regional Ministry for Employment announced that the technical services department of the General Directorate for Safety at Work would look into the incident and establish its causes.
