At 6.30am yesterday morning the Guardia Civil mounted one of the biggest ever narcotics operations in the es Raiguer region of Majorca.
Armed members of the Guardia Civil drugs squad using sniffer dogs and aerial support from helicopters, swooped on nine properties in Inca, Costitx and San Juan.
The main focus of attention was a bar in Inca which the Guardia have had under surveillance for the past few months as they investigated the activities of an Inca-based gang running the drugs dealing in the area.
In total ten people were arrested, seven males and three females of Spanish and Moroccan nationalities. According to the Guardia Civil seven of the nine properties searched were in Inca, including the bar.
