With the summer travel season winding down, eDreams has released an infographic about European travel trends and top destinations for the summer holidays.

The online travel agency eDreams has conducted a study on the most popular summer holiday destinations and published an infographic with the most interesting data found.

The main conclusion of the study is that Europeans prefer seaside locations as summer holiday destinations, which is why the most popular places this year were on the Mediterranean coast and the Balearics.

While Spanish and Italian holiday makers tend to spend their summers on the islands of their own countries, English, French and German tourists usually choose to go abroad.
