Hunt for Son Banya drug money continues

THE near four million euros found hidden in an abandoned shack in the shanty town of Son Banya in Palma last week is going to be used to help fund the war on drugs here in the Balearics.

National Police sources said yesterday that 7.5 kilos of jewels were also found during the operation and that uncovering more hidden stashes of drug money is not being ruled out.

In fact, the National Police returned to Son Banya, the scene of a fatal drug-related shooting earlier this month, yesterday with Palma City Council earth moving equipment.
