THE unsettled weather continued to throw up a few surprises and cause problems yesterday.
A freak storm early yesterday morning dumped giant hail stones on the village of Establiments on the outskirts of Palma while the gale force winds caused further damage to a number of boats. In Portixol harbour, near El Molinar, a clean-operation was underway yesterday after a handful of small boats were damaged and sunk by the brief, but fierce, storm. On Tuesday, a number of yachts were grounded by gale force winds which pounded Santa Ponsa.
The weather is however forecast to improve over the next few days as we head in to the weekend with just a few scattered showers and storms lingering in the Balearics. But, it is the wind which is going to cause the most problems.
