By Staff Reporter THE new Balearic minister for tourism, Miguel Nadal, told the Balearic parliament yesterday that he was confident that the additional funding for the industry would be forthcoming from the central administration in Madrid,.

Nadal, who replaced Francesc Buils following a political spat last week, also called for tourism to be left outside the political debate.
The central administration has promised millions of euros to help pay for a major facelift for the Playa de Palma which includes the tourist resorts of Arenal and Ca´n Pastilla. “I have no reason to believe that Madrid will not live-up to their promises,” Nadal told parliament.
