New dress code not entirely popular

Palma’s city Council decision yesterday to introduce a new dress code in areas away from the local beaches was not well received by many but welcomed by many others.

Palma.— The authorities warned they will impose fines up to 200 euros to anyone walking in the areas which are not adjacent to the beach wearing nothing but shorts or bikini, but the decision was not well received by many of  the Bulletin’s readers, generating a wave of opinions in our publication’s facebook page.
“Why should the Majorcan government dictate what people wear? That should be up to the shopkeepers  and owners  to decide.
