PALMA
MALLORCA Hogrock 2010 kicks off at the Calvia fairground on the Son Bugadellas industrial estate today with Harley Davidson chapters and lovers from all over Europe descending on the island for the four-day event.

The event is going to be the largest gathering of Harley Davidsons ever in Majorca and a wide range of activities, events, demonstrations and concerts has been organised by promoters Adapta Marketing & Comunicacion in association with Fundacion Calvia and Harley Owners Group - Majorca Chapter which was founded in 1993 and is the second oldest in Spain.

The primary aim of the event is to boost “motorcycle tourism” on the island by attracting more motorcyclists to the island from all over Europe.
A significant number of Harley David son owners have been driving down to the island from the UK and Germany but hundreds more are coming from the mainland and other parts of Europe.

Every year, a number of Hog rallies are held on the mainland and the organisers believe that Majorca should be part of the circuit.
What is more, a special feature of the event is that it is open to all biking enthusiasts even if they ride bikes of other makes.

ROCK AND ROLL
As yet, motorcycling tourism has not been properly examined by the local authorities but the organisers hope that this week's massive rally, coming at the end of the tourist season, will open their eyes
The location for the Mallorca Hogrock is deemed ideal with plenty of parking and space for the various other activities which are going to be held. These include rock concerts by Mad Ramblers, Alma Sonora, Jaime Anglada and singer, song writer, novelist and journalist Elliot Murphy who has played with Bruce Springsteen and a host of other great rock musicians over the years. So, get your motors running down to Calvia this weekend.
