Palma.—A gala fundraising dinner has been arranged at Mood Beach Bar and Restaurant on October 22 to raise funds for The Felix Fund.

The Felix Fund is a charity which was set up by the 11 EOD Regiment, the British Army's specialist unit for terrorist bomb disposal with the aim of providing “normalisation breaks” to rehabilitate and reunite members of the regiment and their units.

The regiment carries out its mission on all deployed and expeditionary operations worldwide and throughout Great Britain and on British Forces bases in Germany and is on call 24-hours a day.

Due to the highly dangerous nature of their work, many of these service personnel have suffered incurable wounds and psychological trauma whilst carrying out their duties, which have not only seriously affected their lives but also those of their wives, partners and families. Recently, the Felix Fund Majorca offered facilities on the island as part of the Felix Fund's Rehabilitation programme.

Much of the programme was funded by the Felix Fund and generous donations from islanders. However, the Felix Fund Majorca needs to raise more money to help more wounded soldiers from the regiment. So, book a ticket for the dinner or make a donation to help make a difference.
