A 21-year-old British holiday maker has been arrested by the Guardia Civil for apparently having raped a fellow 25-year-old Briton on the beach in Magalluf.

The alleged sexual attack happened in the early hours of yesterday morning and the victim, who is being treated in Son Espases Hospital, was found by the Guardia Civil patrol in a severe state of shock just after 4am during a routine night patrol of the beach.

The patrol found the victim squatting on the sand, screaming for help.
