“Save Majorca” hosts huge party

MUSIC, videos, food and dance made up the huge party which was organised by “Salvem Mallorca” (Save Majorca) in order to “stop the wave of destruction to the island”. The concerts started at 6pm in Santa Maria, which were cleverly mixed with audio-visual work titled “Destruction in progress”. Most of the top Majorcan bands and solo artists also supported the aim of the night, such as Maria del Mar Bonet, Antonia Font, Rock and Press and many more. There was also a host of documentaries shown, including one by Annie Lennox who is fully against the destruction of this beautiful island. Food and drinks were on hand in the Plaza de Santa Maria, as well as information on some of the proposals which will make the island more sustainable.
