PALMA
THE UM Majorcan Unionist Party has potentially weakened its own position in parliament by suspending its MP Bartolome Vicens who will now have to sit with the Mixed Group while he continues to refuse to resign over his alleged implication in the Son Oms industrial estate urban corruption investigation.

In losing Vicens, the Unionists have lost one of their three MPs and therefore no longer have sufficient members of parliament to act as a single party and must therefore all join the Mixed Group alongside their rebel MP.

In short, the Majorcan Nationalists have lost their parliamentary group and must now share their allocated time on the floor and finances with the three Mixed Group MPs.
