PALMA
THE changing travel and booking habits of European holiday makers has forced the Balearic Ministry for Tourism to rethink its approach to marketing and selling the islands.

Since the start of the year, the Balearic Ministry for Tourism's web site has received 85 million hits, 27 percent more than during the first nine months of last year, and the new Minister for Tourism, Miguel Nadal, believes that digital sales and promotions are very much the way forward.

Recent research carried out by the travel industry reveals that nearly 70 percent of all holiday makers research possible destination on line before booking deciding on where to holiday.
