Palma.—The Balearic Teachers Assembly yesterday announced that the vast majority of teachers are continuing to defy the government and are refusing to introduce the controversial TILtrilingual teaching programme.
TIL was included in the Partido Popular’s election-winning manifesto two years ago but the government only announced that it would be introduced this term in April and teachers went out on strike for nearly a month in protest against the government for having not given them enough warning and time to prepare for teaching subjects in English.
