News desk THREE new judges, all women, have just taken the oath of office in the local court, and will be based in Palma, Inca and Ibiza. The swearing-in ceremony took place in the prsence of Antoni Terrasa, president of the Balearic High Court, accompanied by Carlos Gomez, president of the Palma Court, Bartomeu Barcelo, the chief prosecutor of the Balearics and Francisco Martinez, the doyen of Balearic judges. The new judges, Gema Sánchez, who will be based in Ibiza, Catalina Martorell in Palma and Catalina Mulet in Inca, will help tackle the back log of more than 50'000 cases in the local courts.
