The annual campaign to inject some festive spirits into Palma was unveiled yesterday with a host of activities and incentives planned for people of all ages.

Palma.—Palma has often been criticised for lacking  Christmas spirit and yesterday, in association with the City Council, retail  associations Pimeco and Afedeco launched their annual campaigns to try and liven up the capital over Christmas, New Year and Three Kings while at the same  time, getting people in the mood to spend.
The latest data (see page 5) indicates that the retail sector in the Balearics is  performing much better than the rest of the country and traders hope that the trend continues into the New Year.
