PALMA'S Council-backed Voluntary Youth Association will be setting up an information tent this coming Saturday in Plaza Espanya as part of celebrations for International Volunteers' Day.
The tent which will be open to the public in Parc de Ses Estacions between 10am and 2pm, will contain a wide range of literature about voluntary organisations in general and on projects which are currently being undertaken. For interested parties there will also be information on how to get involved in volunteer work. To complement the occasion which marks the third anniversary of the association, a separate voluntary group will be offering coffee as a means of establishing links with visiting charity workers.
The Voluntary Agency has offices in Calle Campaner 5-A and a website http://voluntariado.palmademallorca.es. It provides volunteers to help individuals and registered charity organisations develop their work.
