Exactly a week to the day after 15-year-old Malen Zoe Ortiz was last seen leaving school in Santa Ponsa to head home to Cala Viñas, the search, which had been postponed over the weekend to allow the police time to follow up a number of other leads, resumed yesterday morning. At 8.30am fire fighters with sniffer dogs, the Guardia Civil, Local Police and members from the Civil Protection began combing the area of Son Ferrer on foot and from the air, where her boyfriend lives and where she was due to have gone last Monday afternoon to meet him. In the meantime, special police units have been watching endless CCTVvideos and investigating her Facebook page and online friends as part of the investigation. Last night, at 5pm, they was a mass rally in Santa Ponsa in her honour.
