Social unrest in Pollensa after proposed new law

Palma.— The local authority wants to cease some of the activities in the areas that have been causing distress to many of its residents, particularly street binge drinking (botellon), begging, people sleeping rough and illegal camping.
The Council is set to approve a new law to ban these sorts of activities.
The problem is a group of locals who disagree with the way the process is being handled. They call themselves the “Platform against the Civic Law in Pollensa”.
