Employment numbers in the service sector in the Balearics grew by almost three percent last year, contrasting with the overall decline throughout Spain of 1.4 percent.
The amount of revenue in the trade also showed how well the region is doing compared with the mainland (5.3 percent growth compared with Spain’s 2.1 percent contrcation). The Balearics was only one of the two regions where figures were positive.
