The percentage of Balearic businesses which believe the next three months will be positive for their trade has more than doubled since January.

Palma.—According to a poll revealed yesterday by the National Statistics Institute, 22.5 percent of businesses believe they will see an improvement in their fortunes over the next three months.
Earlier this year only 11 percent felt that way.
The recent spell of good weather alongside last week’s reports from the Tourism department confirming that the Balearics are expecting a record number of visitors this summer also seem to have, if not changed  most negative opinions,  at least slightly dissuade them. Three months ago almost 38 percent believed their businesses would suffer.
That number has now been reduced to 23 percent.
