Andraitx Council has apparently woken up and listened to the local community’s complaints about cyclists using the Port as a giant public toilet.

Palma.—After weeks of complaining about the hundreds of German cyclists being bused into the Port of Andraitx from Alcudia and Can Piacfort and using the Port as an open air public toilet, urinating on people’s garden walls and defecating in the bushes close to homes and a children’s play ground, it appears that Andraitx Council has finally taken action.
Yesterday, two portaloos were placed near the drop off point for the cyclists while the Local Police were on hand to make sure that the portaloos were used.
Three cyclists were caught going about their business in a public place and were subsequently fined.
