Fire fighters on forest fire fighting drill

Palma.—Yesterday, fire fighters from the Palma Fire Brigade carried out a number of training exercises while also inspecting the municipality’s  forest fire black spots to make sure that fire breaks are in place and that potential danger zones are clear of any material which could start a forest fire.
This year, after Majorca was hit by the worst forest fire in its history last summer, the authorities are nervous and are leaving nothing to chance.
