Calvia Council yesterday announced it will be providing the Guardia Civil with free offices in Magalluf.
Partido Popular Councillor Cristina Tugores confirmed yesterday that the Guardia Civil had asked for new offices, since their existing ones in Palmanova were far too big specially since the inauguration of the new barracks on the Son Bugadelles industrial estate last year.
Authorities agreed to the request admitting the move makes more sense as Magalluf is deemed as a “hot spot” during the Summer. More crimes and infractions are committed in that area during the tourist season than in Palmanova.
