Palma.—A Ryanair passenger jet carrying 148 passengers was forced to make an emergency landing in Majorca yesterday after a fire warning light came on.
The airplane had taken off from Son Sant Joan airport en route to Memmingen, Germany, at about 6.43am.
But just over half an hour later, at 7.20am, the pilot was forced to make a U-turn and land back at the airport after one of the indicators on the control panel of the cockpit signalled a possible technical fault. Air traffic control was noted and the plane landed normally.
