Soller Council awarded a second chance

Soller.—The move, which will also see the authorities implement and regulate a new paid parking lot by the pier, was initially rejected by local port authorities.
The reason being that the same agreement was signed a year ago but the port authority accused the council of failing to keep their promises.
When the proposal to renew the contract was presented again this year the initial response was negative.
Port authority technicians analised the situation and what was done and what was not and suggested that renewing the contract for another year would not be in their best interests. With that in mind the Balearic Government intervened, making some policy changes and after being assured by the council they will keep their side of the deal, a new contract is set to be signed again shortly.
