There are seven dog-friendly beaches in the Balearics, according to a beach searching website report revealed yesterday. In total there are 40 in Spain.
Nine in Catalonia, seven in the Balearic Islands and the Valencia Community, five in Galicia, four in Andalusia, Cantabria and the Canary Islands .
To be considered a dog-friendly beach in Europe, the beach must have special areas for well behaved dogs with responsible owners. Great Britain is one of Europe’s leading locations on that department with 350 authorised beaches plus 450 which also allow dogs but with certain restrictions. France has 190, Italy 120.
