Members of neighbouring European police forces will be cooperating with the National Police in the Balearics next year.

Palma.—The Central Government Delegate to the Balearics, Teresa Palmer, has confirmed that the National Police will continue to cooperate with European forces next summer in the key  holiday resorts.
A pilot scheme was tested this summer with a number officers coming to assist the National Police from neighbouring countries such as France, Italy  and Germany.
Palmer highlighted the importance of having Italian police on the ground in Ibiza where a major Italian Mafia organisation was dismantled while  the German police proved extremely helpful along the Playa de Palma.
