The average occupation rate in Majorcan hotels last month, particularly over the Christmas, period rose to 52 percent, the Majorcan Hotel Federation revealed yesterday.
December is usually a quiet month for the few Majorcan hotels which remain open during this time of the year, but Inma de Benito, president of the federation said yesterday “Majorca must continue to work towards boosting winter tourism”, and promote the region as a top destination during this time of the year.
