Last week it was announced that the number of cruise passengers visiting the Balearics grew by 0.6 percent during 2014 compared to the previous year with 1,54 million cruise passengers visiting the Balearics.
And, according to an industry report released yesterday, further growth can be expected this year.
The Mediterranean is apparently  back to record capacity numbers after a dip in 2013 and 2014, according to the 2015-2016 Cruise Industry News Annual Report.
The region peaked at just over  four  million passengers in 2012, before cruise lines pulled capacity out due to economic woes.
