Palma.—All tourist horse and carts serving the Palma and Arenal areas will have to undergo their very own MOT test over the upcoming weeks.
Prior to the beginning of the summer season, all 28 horse -drawn vehicles (23 in Palma and 5 in Arenal) will be inspected by members of the Health and Police departments at the Sant Ferran headquarters.
The department of Health will send a veterinary to ensure the horses are healthy and ready for the busy holiday season, while members of the Mounted Police will inspect the conditions of the carts and ensure their respective owners have all the necessary documents to provide this type of transport service, very popular amongst visiting tourists.
