The Council of Majorca announced yesterday that a full investigation into the tragic rally accident which killed co-pilot Jose Lumbreras and left driver Carlos Iscar in hospital suffering from severe burns to 20 percent of his body last Saturday, was opened yesterday.
The Island Councillor for Urban Development and Planning, Mauricio Rovira, said that the organisers of the rally have a period of ten days to submit a complete report on the accident.
In the meantime, the Council of Majorca will be carrying out its own investigation.
