According to the latest Hotel Price Index issued by the website Hoteles.com, hotel prices by room and per night in the Balearics were the highest of any region of Spain during the first half of this year, with Ibiza having the highest of all. The average there was 173 euros per night, ten euros more than in 2014.

In Majorca, the average price was 136 euros, an increase of 2% over last year, which makes the island the fifth most expensive destination in Spain. Hoteles.com says of Majorca that its wide cultural offer and a great capacity to adapt to an international market have made it the leading global centre of tourism, the most popular destination for visitors from northern Europe.
