With today, Christmas Eve, signalling the start of the two-week Christmas holiday that covers Christmas itself, New Year and the Three Kings, the islands' airports have been very busy. Between Palma, Minorca and Ibiza, some 657,000 passengers are expected to pass through Balearic airports from today until 7 January, almost half a million of these at Palma's Son Sant Joan.
