The first baby to be born in the Balearics this year was delivered at ten past midnight at Inca Hospital. Mohamed Bouvah, whose parents are Moroccan, weighed in at 3,520 grams (seven pounds, twelve ounces). At Son Espases Hospital the first baby of 2016 was born at 7.10am. The boy, Angel Espinosa, weighed eight pounds and 11 ounces (3,950 grams). His mother is Majorcan and his father comes from Huelva.
