The springlike weather of the past few days is due to change today because of a highly active cold front crossing from the mainland. This will reach the Balearics by the end of the day and bring with it high winds and some snow on high ground.

The westerly winds will produce some very strong gusts at times. There will be plenty of snow on the mainland. In Majorca the snow line is expected to be around 900 metres on Saturday. The wind will ease by the late afternoon, and Sunday is forecast to be a better day, with temperatures recovering to highs of 18 or 19C.
